About Us

Red Oak Elementary is a community that places a strong emphasis on the whole child. While we support students in reaching high academic expectations and maintaining strong achievement, we also know that learning thrives in a caring, safe, and welcoming environment. Our highly qualified staff choose to stay at Red Oak because of the family feel we intentionally build, and that sense of connection is felt throughout our campus each day.

We proudly serve a diverse community of students from Oak Park and surrounding areas through our district of choice and permit programs. As a full inclusion school, we are committed to meeting the needs of all learners. Instruction is designed to meet students where they are, with a robust MTSS program supporting students who need additional skill development and classroom practices that challenge students ready for deeper learning. Teachers use Universal Design for Learning strategies to ensure access, engagement, and appropriate challenge for all students, including those identified for GATE services.

Relationships matter in all that we do. Students are welcomed each morning by staff at the gate, supported by a friendly and responsive office team, and taught by educators who value collaboration with families. By working together, we create an inclusive community where students feel supported, known, and encouraged to grow into their best selves during their elementary years.
